Katarina

Edwin: "When I met Katarina, that fateful night the 15th of February 2001, I was intending to close my project and go back to Holland. What immediately attracted me to her, besides her beauty, her bright eyes and wonderful smile, was her sweet, lovely personality. I was intrigued by her political career and shared (and still share) her interests in world politics (though we’re not always of the same opinion!). Till this day, she is the one who makes me smile, comforts me, and generally makes me feel happy. There isn’t another person I’d rather share my thoughts and my time with, and thus my life with."

Katarina: "I wasn’t supposed to go out that night. I had been on a local meeting with the Centre Party and I was meeting up with some friends to celebrate the birthday of one of them. I had hardly entered the dance floor when I noticed this tall good-looking guy. Getting to know Edwin was not only getting to know a new person but also a new language and a new culture. His interest in politics and history has been the source of many interesting discussions. What makes Edwin so special is his gentleness and his honesty. "

Us

We put aside all doubts of why it wouldn’t work, and over all these years and geographic distance, we came ever closer together. European Union? That’s us.
