How to get to Stockholm
By car
From Holland, it is over 1500 km driving via Germany and Denmark. Follow Hamburg and Copenhagen, Malmö, then Stockholm. There are parking garages in Stockholm close to major hotels.

By airplane
From Holland you have several options now. While KLM and SAS still sometimes offer promotions to Stockholm Arlanda Airport from Amsterdam, they are usually more expensive than their low budget competitors. Basiqair now offers cheap daily flights to Skavsta Airport from Rotterdam. Though Skavsta is not as close to Stockholm as Arlanda Airport, the total cost to get to the city may still be lower, though it increases your travel time.

From airport to the city
At Arlanda Airport, one has the comfortable option to take the train, Arlanda Express, which takes you straight to the center in only 20 minutes. This is the most practical option, especially because from the Central Station you can walk to the main hotels such as Sheraton, or easily take the subway (Tunnelbana). A cheaper option is the bus, Flygbussarna, though it also takes slightly longer at 40 minutes. The taxi is most expensive option, but there is a flat rate from Arlanda to any location within the city, so if your hotel is not close to the Central Station this would be more convenient.

How to get to the wedding
This is easy: just make sure you are on time (12:45, Saturday 14 August) at the Stadshuskajen, the docks close to the Sheraton hotel and next to the bridge to the Stadhuset (city hall). Stadhuset is easily recognizable as a large castle-like building with the gold three-crown on the turret. The closest subway station is the Central Station. Look for a large modern white yacht named M/S Symfoni. We will try to fly the Dutch Colors if possible as a sign of recognition. If you spot other people like yourself in a tuxedo or long dress, it is a sure sign you are in the right spot. Please identify yourself to Niels or Sven, who will be welcoming you at the boarding plank and show them your invitation.
